History: |
Crichton was a coal mining community
established by the Johnstown Coal & Coke Company. This corporation consisted
of Andrew B. Crichton, Walter G. Crichton, William Crichton, Harry Crichton,
John Crichton, and Judge Evans. Crichton was also the home base of operations
for the Meadow Creek Coal Company. |
