Jacob married Elizabeth HENKEL, daughter of Jacob HENKEL and Mary Barbara TETER, in 1775 in Hampshire Co., VA.¹⁸ (Elizabeth HENKEL was born in 1760 in Rowan Co., NC,¹⁸ died in 1838 in Hardy Co., VA ¹⁸ and was buried in Old Mill Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Petersburg, Grant Co., WV.)
