Pal Lowe, 66 of Fries, Va., formerly of the Drill Community near Honaker, Va., died Saturday morning in a Lebanon hospital of natural causes.
Born in Russell County, Va., he was the son of the late John and Ellen Sanders Lowe. He was a retired coal miner.
Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Virginia Johnson of Cold Harbor, N. Dak., Mrs. Bonnie Dotson of Lambertville, Mich., Mrs. Juanita Counts of Meadow Bluff; one sister, Miss Minnie Lowe of Honaker; two brothers, Clyde Lowe of Honaker and Earl Lowe of Meadowview, Va., 17 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Honaker Funeral Home in Honaker, Va.
Lewis married Margie Carrie PHIPPS, daughter of Lewis Russell (Edward) PHIPPS Sr. and Virginia Ellen HALEY, on 6 Apr 1934 in Quinwood, Greenbrier Co., WV.134 (Margie Carrie PHIPPS was born on 21 Dec 1916 in Kilsyth, Fayette Co., WV,28 died on 9 Feb 1997 in Meadow Bridge, Fayette Co., WV 28 and was buried on 13 Feb 1997 in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, Greenbrier Co., WV 28.)
