Mrs. Bennett, 66, Dies; Rites Slated
SMOOT (RNS) - Mrs. Mable Fannie Bennett, 66, of Smoot died Sunday at her home after a long illness.
Born Aug. 12, 1904, at Little Sewell, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Ida Jane McClung Walkup.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Bennett; two sisters, Mrs. Zenna Hunter and Mrs. Della Shortridge, both of Crawley, and a brother, W. L. Walkup of Alderson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel at Rainelle with Rev. Rex Ball in charge. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today.
Mabel married Harry Thomas LACKEY on 21 Nov 1923.245 (Harry Thomas LACKEY was born on 21 May 1903 in WV 39 and died on 30 Jun 1965 in Clifton Forge, Alleghany Co., VA 96.). The cause of his death was myocardial infaction, arteriosclerotic coronary thrombosis.
