JOSEPH C. QUICK, 73, OF Glennville, [Georgia] formerly of Gauley Bridge, W.Va., died Aug. 29, 1988, in a Claxton hospital after a long illness. He was retired manager of Hawks Nest Country Club. He was a retired employee of Union Carbide Metals Division, Alloy, W.Va. He was a Mason and a veteran of World War II. Surviving: daughters, Bettie Jo Lake of Stafford, Va., Eleanor L. Kyttle of Anniston, Ala., Margaret Barnhill of Glennville; brothers, Ray and Lawrence, both of Lewisburg, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Combs-Pennington funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with the Rev. Tom Goldston officiating. Burial will be in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, W.Va. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
