Fred H. Plumley Dies In Hospital
Fred Huston Plumley, 73, of 128 Smith St., died at 2 p.m. Wednesday in a local hospital following a long illness.
Born April 13, 1897, at Abraham, he was the son of the late Hazzard and Lucinda Cook Plumley.
He was a retired coal miner and member of UMWA Local 7086. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1606 of Beckley and the Knights of Pythias of Beckley.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Berry Plumley; three sons, Carlos, and Thomas F., both of Beckley, Russell D. of Columbus, Ohio, two daughters, Mrs. Wetzel (Ruby) Brammer of Beaver and Mrs. Wendell (Nina) Lilly of West Jefferson, Ohio; a brother, John of Hinton; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Marion and Mrs. Ida Meadows, both of Hinton; twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Rose and Quesenbeny Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements.

F. H. Plumley's Services Slated
Funeral service for Fred H. Plumley, 73, of 128 Smith St., will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Franklin in charge. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Plumley died at 2 p.m. Wednesday in a local hospital following a long illness.
Pallbearers will be Lee Burn, Leonard Pack, Kelso Lilly, Earland Bowman, Harold Painter, and Walter Walker. Friends may call at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.
Fred married Bessie Mae BERRY, daughter of Oliver Franklin BERRY and Nora June HALEY, on 29 Aug 1917.76 (Bessie Mae BERRY was born on 13 May 1901 in Meadow Creek, Fayette Co., WV 55 and died on 14 Jun 1994 in Beckley, Raleigh Co., WV 55.)
