Blue Rock Park Manager Dies
Harry V. Roach, 64, manager of the Blue Rock State Park for four years, died suddenly at his home at 1:45 p.m. Friday. Death was apparently due to a heart attack.
Mr. Roach was employed by the State Division of Parks for 14 years, starting as a patrolman in 1950. He later became manager of Pymatuning State Park at Andover, O. He was transferred to Blue Rock in 1960.
He was born Sept. 28, 1899 at Hughart, W.Va. a son of Walter and Mary Kelly Roach.
Mr. Roach was a member of the Andover Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Pauline; one son, Jack of Mansfield, four grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Reagen Harvey of Andover and Mrs. Osie Hayzlet and Miss Glenna Roach, both of Lewisburg, W.Va. A daughter, Mrs. Nancy Taylor, died in 1963.
The body was removed to the Clyde E. Thompson Funeral Home in Duncan Falls and later taken to the Baumgardner Funeral Home in Andover where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
