RUPERT - John Alden Johnson, 74, of Rupert, Greenbrier County, died Wednesday at home.
He was a member of Bascom United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Greenbrier County Board of Education.
Surviving: wife, Bess Crane Johnson; sisters, Mrs. Celia Breckenrich of Hines, Mrs. Pearl Nelson of Marfrance; brother, Jack Johnson of Fairmont; two grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Charles Ambrose, Jr. officiating. Burail will be in End of the Trail Cemetery, Clintonville.
John married Bess R. "Bessie" CRANE, daughter of Dexter Treslow CRANE and Alcora A. "Cora" MOSES. (Bess R. "Bessie" CRANE was born on 7 Sep 1888 in Big Clear Creek, Greenbrier Co., WV,298,299 died on 8 Sep 1990 in Fairlea, Greenbrier Co., WV 55 and was buried on 11 Sep 1990 in End Of The Trail Cemetery, Clintonville, Greenbrier Co., WV 74.)
