BETTY CRANE THOMPSON, 82, OF Crawley died Feb. 26, 1992, in Alleghany Memorial Hospital, Virginia, after a long illness. She was a former resident of Covington, Va. She attended Amwell Baptist Church, Rupert, and was a homemaker. Surviving: husband, Paul Thompson; daughters, Hazel Miller of Athalia, Ohio, Edna Buffaloe of Raleigh, N.C., Elaine Butler, Jewell Jamison and Helen Glick, all of Columbus, Ohio; sons, Woodie Collins of Otis Orchard, Wash., Gale Collins of Sweet Springs; sister, Ethel Richmond of Winter Haven, Fla.; brother, Everett Crane of Port Charlotte, Fla.; 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Arritt Funeral Home, Covington. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
