Mrs. Burns, wife of Mr. J M Burns, and mother of our County Superintendent, L W Burns, died last Friday, the 23rd inst., at her home near Meadow Bluff, this county, aged 50 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church, and was a most estimable lady. She leaves a husband, four children and many friends and relatives to mourn her demise.

BURNS and Eliza BIVENS, on 21 Oct 1874 in Greenbrier Co., WV.1737 (James Madison "Matt" BURNS was born on 13 Oct 1851 in Meadow Bluff, Greenbrier Co., VA,46,1739 died on 17 Feb 1931 in Bivens Hill, Greenbrier Co., WV 46,1739 and was buried on 18 Feb 1931 in Amwell Baptist Church Cemetery, Rupert, Greenbrier Co., WV 1739.). The cause of his death was myocarditis with organic heart trouble.
