W. Va. Soldier Kills Himself
SEOUL - M. Sgt. Wilmer A. Booth of Orient Hill, Greenbrier County, W.Va. apparently shot and killed himself with a pistol, the Army reported today.
The Army said Booth's body was found in a shower room in the 1st Cavalry Division area in Seoul on Dec. 31.
The soldier had been shot behind the right car, and a .45 caliber pistol with one bullet fired was found under the body. The Army said there was no suicide note and no indication of foul play.
Wilmer married Mary Alice CRANE, daughter of Tony Lee CRANE and Alzina Lee PROPPS, on 2 Aug 1949 in Carl, Nicholas Co., WV.1878 (Mary Alice CRANE was born on 27 Jul 1931 in Orient Hill, Greenbrier Co., WV 1878.)
