DAWSON - Mrs. Mary S. Puckett, 85, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 1994 at her home.
Born Nov. 6, 1908, at Dawson, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Cornelia George McClung.
Mrs. Puckett was a retired GreenbrierCounty school teacher, member of the Sewell Valley Baptist Church at Rainelle, the Retired Teachers Association, the Dawson Homemakers Club, Women Society of Christian Service at the Dawson United Methodist Church and was a member of the Greenbrier County Farm Womens Club.
She was preceeded in death by a brother, Sam McClung.
Survivors include her husband, Everette E. Puckett, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sewell Valley Baptist Church with the Revs. J. D. Surbaugh, Leroy Crane and Houston Boothe officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Cemetery at Lewisburg.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Smathers Funeral Home Chapel and at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church.
Pallbearers will be Fred Copen, Delvin and Richard Deem, Murl, Keith and Roy Lee Helmick.
Donations of sympathy may be made to the Rainelle Christian Academy.
