HOWARD WELLINGTON BENNETT, 89, OF Dawson, died March 16, 1993, at home after a long illness. He was a retired coal miner and farmer. He was a member of UMW. Surviving: daughter, Josephine Hedrick of Elkview; four grandsons; one great-grandson. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Smathers Funeral Home, Rainelle, with Charles Dean officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
