GLEN DANIEL WOMAN DIES IN RESIDENCE FOLLOWING ILLNESS
Mrs. Fannie Ellen Daniel, 92, Glen Daniel, died at 5:45 O'clock Wednesday morning at her residence after an extended illness.
Born March 13, 1955 [sic] at Oceana, she was the daughter of Milan and Narcissus Sizemore and spent most of her life in the Glen Daniel community. She was a member of the Bolt Baptist Church.
Her husband, Joel Daniel, preceded her in death in 1920 at the age of 91.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Bolt Baptist church with the Rev. C. B. Costlow officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, George Daniel, Glen Daniel; and Frank Daniel, Glen Rogers; six, daughters, Mrs. Willie Jarrell, Naoma; Mrs. Etta McGraw and Mrs. Josie Smith, both of Beckley; Mrs. Okie Harvey, Bolt: Mrs. C. P. Pettry, Glen Daniel; and Mrs. Asa Hurst, Ravencliff.
Also surviving are three stepdaughters, Mrs. Joseph McCall, Green Sulphur; Mrs. Victoria McGraw, Meadow Bridge; Mrs. Lucinda Walker, Vinton, Ohio; one stepson, Jim Daniel, Bolt; two sisters, Mrs. Pethena Arnold and Mrs. Elmira Lucas, both of Glen Daniel; 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
The body will be removed from the Calfee Funeral home at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon to the Pettry residence at Glen Daniel. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Fannie married Joel DANIEL, son of Nehemiah DANIEL Jr. and Catherine "Kitty" MANKIN, on 3 May 1879 in Raleigh Co., WV.169 (Joel DANIEL was born on 28 Oct 1830 in Patrick Co., VA,169 died on 10 May 1920 and was buried in Farmer Cemetery, Bolt, Raleigh Co., WV 406.)
