Rites Set Today For J. R. Seward
RICHWOOD (RNS) - Jeremiah Robert (Tobe) Seward, 94, of High Point, N.C., formerly of Richwood, died Monday at his home.
He was a retired lumberman.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Nora Snyder of Richwood, Mrs. Della Wright of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Helen Freeman of Johnson City, Tenn., Mrs. Willie Cagle, Mrs. Randal Adams, and Mrs. Beula Philbin, all of High Point, N.C.; four sons, Chester of High Point, L. R. and G. E. Seward, both of Richwood, and C. M. Seward, address unknown; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church at Richwood with the Rev. Allen McKinney in charge. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Richwood.
The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services. Simons Funeral Home in Richwood is in charge of arrangements.
Tobe married Mary Susan HAYSLETT, daughter of James Leachman HAYSLETT and Julia E. MANSPILE, on 10 Dec 1890 in Greenbrier Co., WV.
