Martha E. KIRBY

   Cause of her death was heart disease.

Died at her home on Mill Creek Mountain, on the 3rd inst., Mrs. Martha E. Crane wife of the late Edward Ebbetts Crane, in her 73rd year. She was born in Cambridge, Md. and came to Greenbrier in 1835, with Jos. S. Crane's family, of Baltimore. She was a Christian, and was well versed in the scriptures and a member of a congressional church. She leaves two sons, six daughters and twenty-seven grandchildren.

Martha married Edward Ebbetts CRANE, son of Joseph S. CRANE Sr. and Mary Catherine SOPP. (Edward Ebbetts CRANE was born in 1810 in Camden, Camden Co., NJ,³²⁴ died on 23 Apr 1887 in Mill Creek, Greenbrier Co., WV ^2537,2538 and was buried in Amwell Baptist Church Cemetery, Rupert, Greenbrier Co., WV ²⁵³⁹.)
