NETTIE - Harold K. Bond, 67, of Nettie, Nicholas County, was dead on arrival Wednesday at Sacred Heart Hospital, Richwood, of an apparent heart attack.
He was a disabled miner and a member of the UMW.
Surviving: wife, Mamie; sons, Rickie at home, Willis of Nettie; daughters, Mrs. Freda Hanes and Mrs. Janet George, both of Nettie; sisters, Mrs. Grace O'Dell of Richwood, Mrs. Georgia Herd of Nettie, Mrs. Yoma Painter of Zela, Mrs. Russie Thomas of Hookersville; brothers, Mike of Zela, Okie, James and Romie, all of Nettie, Ray of Sweet Home, Ore.; five grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday in White-White Funeral Home, Richwood, with the Rev. Bobby McMillion officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Nettie. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Harold married Mamie Lucene DORSEY, daughter of Ervin Clark DORSEY and Golda Blane "Goldie" SMITH.
