Isaac (Peg) Johnson, 78, of Rainelle, died Monday, June 7, in Greenbrier Valley Hospital, Fairlea, after a long illness.
Born at Spring Dale, Aug. 31, 1903, he was a son of the late Jacob and Maudie Hunter Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a member of the Gordon's Freewill Baptist Church and a retired coal miner.
Surviving is his wife, Alma Lively Johnson; two daughters, Phyllis Mills of Toledo, Ohio, and Marcelline Hoffer of Ansted; two step-daughters, Betty McClung and Juanita Bowyer, both of Rainelle; two sons, David Johnson of Rainelle and Elmer Johnson of Toledo, Ohio; a brother, Carl Johnson, address unknown; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home chapel in Rainelle with the Rev. Bobby Grimmett officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
