Edgar W. Grafton, 58, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Charleston, died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital, Burlington, Iowa. He was an employee of Tennicliff Surveyors and Engineers in Davenport. Survivors: former wife, Ola Grafton of Glasgow; daughters, Mrs. Kay Johnson of Dunbar, Mrs. Beverly Cobb of Charleston; brother, Ralph of Cumberland, Md.; sisters, Mrs. Ray Penney of West Burlington, Iowa, Mrs. Marguerite Settle of South Charleston, Mrs. Ruth Humphreys of Huntington. The body will be sent home to the Dodd-Payne Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Edgar married Ola Mae "Blackie" SHAWVER, daughter of Dr. Laviro V. SHAWVER and Catherine Florence McCLUNG. (Ola Mae "Blackie" SHAWVER was born on 9 Oct 1912 in Fayette Co., WV 55 and died on 2 Mar 1995 in Charleston, Kanawha Co., WV 55.)
