JOHN WILLIAM KNAPP, 61, OF CHARLESTON, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, died Jan. 28, 1992, in Charleston Area Medical Center, after a short illness. He attended Pentecostal Holiness Church, White Sulphur Springs Surviving: wife, Patricia V. Knapp of White Sulphur Springs; sons, John W. Jr. and Charles B., both of White Sulphur Springs; daughter, Violet M. Knapp of White Sulphur Springs; brothers, Jimmy and Harrison, both of White Sulphur Springs, Charles of McConnelsville, Ohio, Marshall of Lancaster, Ohio, Lonnie of Logan, Ohio, Ralph of Caldwell; sister, Nellis Davis of Over, Ky. Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs, with the Rev. Mark DeHaven officiating. Burial will be in Whatcoat Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
