Chas. A. Hanna Dies Of Accident Injuries
Charles A. Hanna, of 327 Spring St., St. Albans, 37-year-old employee of the Westvaco plant, who was struck by a car Aug. 16 on MacCorkle Av. near 17th St. in South Charleston, died last night in a local hospital.
South Charleston Police Chief H. A. Master said he expected a manslaughter charge to be brought against Ernest Salisbury of St. Albans, the driver of the car which struck Hanna.
Hanna was hit while crossing the avenue to the plant where he was employed.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Hanna; his mother, Mrs. Fannie Hanna; a daughter, Betty, at home; one brother, Glen of St. Albans; and one sister, Eva Hanna, also of St. Albans.
Mr. Hanna was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics.
Rev. J. W. Nida and Rev. J. R. Taylor will conduct funeral service at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the St. Albans Church of God.
Burial will follow in Williamsburg cemetery. The Bartlett funeral home at St. Albans will be in charge of all arrangements.
