MABSCOTT - David Palmer Lilly, 74, of Mabscott died May 12, 1998, at home after a sudden illness.
He was a self-employed carpenter, an Army veteran of World War II and a member and trustee of Mabscott Holiness Church.
Surviving: son, David Randolph Lilly of Roanoke; daughter, Judith Wickline of Roanoke; brothers, Frank, Aubrey and Luther Lilly, all of Jumping Branch, Paul Lilly of Oak Hill, Don Lilly of Woodbridge, Va.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mabscott Holiness Church with the Rev. E.G. "Buz" Keller officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church. Melton Mortuary, Beckley, is in charge of arrangements.
