Margaret Elsie Crone, 97, of Muddy Creek Mountain, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011.
Born Sept. 8, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Hunter and Lula Moody Falls and the widow of Roy M. Crone.
Surviving are her sons, Walter of Sinks Grove and Everett of Melbourne, Fla.; daughters, Frances Erskine of Sinks Grove and Loretta Kelly of Lewisburg; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, to continue her legacy.
Mrs. Crone lived nearly all her life within two miles of the place of her birth and was a homemaker and professional seamstress.
Visitation with comments and prayer service will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the McCraw Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the McCraw Funeral Home, Lewisburg, with her Pastor the Rev. Dexter Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens.
