Ray L. Neff, Sr., 78, of Sellers Road, Middlebourne departed this life Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008 at his home.
He was born Feb. 28, 1930 in Tyler County a son of the late Emery and Clara Belle Richmond Neff.
Ray was retired employee of Weirton Steel in Weirton and he was a protestant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Stump Neff, June 6, 1993; three brothers, Russ, Danny and John; and a sister, Audrey Miller.
Ray is survived by five sons, Ray L. Neff, Jr. of York Township, Pa., Richard E. Neff of Charleston, W.Va., William B. Neff of Middlebourne, Daniel T. Neff of Winchester, Va., and James P. Neff of Clear Brook, Va; a daughter, Brenda L. Neff-Derby of Hedgesville, W.Va.; a brother Charles Neff of Middlebourne; ten grandchildren and one great grandson.
Friends will be received at the Furbee Funeral Home in Middlebourne, Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Bud Bassett officiating. Interment in Middlebourne Cemetery.
