ARLIE WALTER BERRY, 74, OF DANESE, died Jan. 19, 1991, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, after a long illness. He was a 10-year resident of Danese and a member of Chestnut Knob Christian Church, Leland. He was a coal miner with 24 years' service, and a retired tractor operator from Republic Steel. Surviving: wife, Dorothy Ice Berry; daughters, Rita Mae Ball and Shirley A. Wilson, both of Warren, Ohio; sons, James W. of Lake Milton, Ohio, William A. of Leavittsburg, Ohio, Jess R. of Niles, Ohio, Fred E. Wix of Warren; sisters, Myrtle Harmon and Catherine Jones, both of Meadow Bridge, Maxine Sttalard of Baltimore, Mildred Bragg of Danese, Ruby Bennett of Cowen; brothers, the Rev. James of Beckley, Junior of Danese, Merl and Johnny, both of Baltimore; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Bill Lilly officiating. Entombment will be in Wallace Memorial Mausoleum, Clintonville.
Arlie married Lena OSBORNE, daughter of William Newton OSBORNE and Sallie V. SMITH. (Lena OSBORNE was born on 16 Dec 1917 in Lawton, Fayette Co., WV,31 died on 31 Jan 1962 in Warren, Trumbull Co., OH 61 and was buried on 4 Feb 1962 in Layland Cemetery, Layland, Fayette Co., WV 31.)
