Announcement has been made by Mrs. Monnie Porter of Piedmont Rd. of the betrothal of her daughter, Juanita, to Carl Curtis Hess, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hess of Dunbar. An alumna of Charleston High School and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Miss Porter is in the employ of the National Bank of Commerce. Her fiance attended Dunbar High School, had four years duty in the USAF, was stationed in Korea and Okinawa, and is employed by Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors Corp. at the zone office in Charleston. Wedding plans have not been completed.
