Hollister Black
LEWISBURG (RNS) - Services for Hollister Alexander Black, 77, will be a t 1 pp.m. Wednesday at Wallace and Wallace Chapel in Lewisburg with the Rev. M. G. Flowers and the Rev. Harold Elmore in charge. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville.
He died Sunday night in a Roanoke, Va., hospital of natural causes.
Born Feb. 12, 1899, in Rupert, he was the son of the late Samuel and Laura Bivens Black.
He had lived in Lewisburg five years, was a member of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church, former owner of the Black Tourist Court in Crawley and Timberland Motel in Roxboro, N.C.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Rae Alexander of India; one son, Joseph A., at home; two sisters, Miss Sanna D. Black of Columbus, Ohio, and Miss Mary Black of Morgantown, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday and family will receive friends 7 and 9 p.m.
