Emory R. Young Sr., 91, of Charleston, died April 22, 1993, at home after a long illness. He was retired president of Motor Car Supply Co., now Parts Plus. He joined the company in 1921, became president in 1937 and at the time of his retirement, the company had 13 locations in West Virginia. He was a former member of Charleston City Council and Charleston Rotary Club. He was chairman of UDS, a local property company, member of Baptist Temple, Masons, Scottish Rite Bodies, Beni Kedem Shrine Temple, Royal Order of Jesters and Kanawha Country Club. He was a member of a Charleston pioneer family. Surviving: wife, Ollie Hines Young; son, Emory R. "Bud" Jr. of Charleston; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Baptist Temple Chapel with Rev. David Fish officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
