A. Pittsenbarger Dies In Hospital
QUINWOOD, Jan. 21 - Abraham Pittsenbarger, 77, of Quinwood, died in a Beckley hospital this morning following an extended illness.
He was a member of the Holiness Church at Quinwood and a retired miner.
He was born Sept. 2, 1875 in Nicholas County, the son of the late Jacob and Alginora Walton Pittsenbarger.
Surviving are one son, William, Cleveland, O.; one step-son, Robert Lane, Detroit, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Goldie Wright, Glasgow; three sisters, Mrs. Lela Trout, Quinwood; Mrs. Elizabeth Burns, Chesapeake and Mrs. Billie Adkins, Thayer; two brothers, Marion, Quinwood and Henry, Springboro, Pa., five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. from the Carl Baptist Church with the Rev. Burt Gibson of Quinwood officiating. The body will be removed from the Wallace and Wallace Chapel to the home of a brother, Marion at 4 p.m. Thursday.
