RAINELLE - Mrs. Mary Clyde Scudder, 81, of Rainelle, a member of the Sewell Valley Baptist Church, died Wednesday in a Ronceverte hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Sewell Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. P. E. Orndorff and the Rev. E. B. Powers in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. May Cooper of Alderson, Mrs. Oleta Wozanick of Linthicum Height, Md., Mrs. Margie Barrett of Tazewell, Va., Mrs. Mary Frances Harmon of Marfrance; sons, Ira of Rainelle, Roy of Russell, Ky.; brothers, Bill [Hoke] of Sand Rock, John [Hoke] of Portland, Ore. Friends may call at the Don Smathers Funeral Home here today.

The cause of his death was ruptured appendix.
