JOSHUA "JOSH" ARNOLD, 86, OF TALCOTT, died Oct. 19, 1991, at Summers County Continuous Care Center of a long illness. He was a former employee of W.Va. Department of Highways, Chesapeake and Ohio Railways and Beckley Water Co. He was a Baptist . He lived most of his life in Summers and Raleigh counties. Surviving: wife, Amy Juanita Trivett Arnold; sons, Herman Lee of Pence Springs, Ralph Jordan of Forest Hill, David Claude of Talcott, Henry Ray of Beckley; daughters, Hazel Marie Harris of Charleston, Ruby May Bennett of Hinton, Lora Kay Tillery of Enfield, N.C., Betty Ann Maroni of Chicago, Tena Hope Smith of Alderson; brother, Pete of Jumping Branch; 27 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Home, Hinton, with the Rev. Eddie Howdock officiating. Burial will be in Arnold Family Cemetery, Jumping Branch. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Joshua ?Josh? Arnold, 86, of Talcott, died 6:50 p.m. Saturday in a Summers nursing home following a long illness. Born May 7, 1905 in Raleigh County he was a son of the late Jordan and Parthena Milam Arnold. He was a former employee of the West Virginia Department of Highways, C&O Railways and Beckley Water Company. He was of the Baptist faith and lived most of his life in Summers and Raleigh County. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Sue Arnold. Survivors include his wife, Amy Juanita Trivott Arnold; four sons, Herman Lee Arnold of Pence Springs, Ralph Jordan Arnold of Forest Hill, David Claude Arnold of Talcott and Henry Gray Arnold of Beckley; five daughters, Hazel Marie Harris of Charleston, Ruby May Bennett of Zion Mountain, Hinton, Lora Kay Tillery of Enfield, N.C., Betty Ann Maroni of Chicago, Ill., and Tena Hope Smith of Alderson; a brother, Pete Arnold of Jumping Branch; 27 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor Chapel, Hinton, with the Rev. Eddie Howdock officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Jumping Branch. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Donations of sympathy may be made to the family.
