HICO ? Una Elizabeth McClung Carte, 91, passed away Friday, March 3, 2006, following a long illness.
She was born Feb. 9, 1915, in Hell?s Half Acre, Danese; her parents were the late C.H. McClung and Maggie Critchley McClung.
Una was a member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church of Mount Lookout and she attended Keeneys Creek Baptist Church of Winona. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. T.W. ?Chick? Carte, in 1990; a daughter, Linda Willis; two sons, James H. Carte and Larry Lee Carte; a special son, Gary Osborne; two sisters; and five brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Carman A. Coleman of Hico; two sons, Tommy F. and Barbara Carte of Hico and Johnny T. and Marla Carte of Hico; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Mount Lookout, with the Revs. Joe Shaffer, Mark Secrist and Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Ansted.
