BECKLEY - Steve Suptic, 86, of Beckley died Dec. 26, 1998, at home after a long illness.
He was a retired miner from New River Coal Co. with 50 years' service. He was a Christian and attended Prosperity Baptist Church and Faith Baptist Church. He was a member of UMW and Bradley Lions Club.
Surviving: wife, Margaret Morris Suptic; son, George Suptic of Ohio; stepsons, James Morris of Goldsboro, N.C., Steve Morris of Beckley; stepdaughter, Helen Greene of Beckley; sister, Stella Korff of Beckley; seven grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Melton Mortuary, Beckley, with the Rev. Donald Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary.
Steve married Lorraine POMEROY, daughter of John Arnold POMEROY and Della Jane PHIPPS, on 18 Mar 1932 in Fayetteville, Fayette Co., WV.3218 (Lorraine POMEROY was born on 16 Oct 1916 in Crab Orchard, Raleigh Co., WV 3219 and died in Feb 1973 in Mount Hope, Fayette Co., WV 55.)
