TURPIN, Lewis Edward - 72, of Beaver, Raleigh County, died Friday in Raleigh General Hospital at Beckley after a long illness. He was a member of First Christian Church at Crow, a veteran of World War I and an employee of the State Road Commission. Surviving are his widow, Dexter, a son, William C. of Topeka, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Hallie Smith of Beckley and Mrs. Mere Painter of Fair Oaks, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Plum of Orlando, Fla.; three half-hrothers, Joe Redden of Bradley, Donald Redden of Crow and Ralph Redden of Alexandria, Va.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home at Beckley.
Lewis married Dexter May ROLLYSON, daughter of Charles A. ROLLYSON and Sarah Bell SMITH. (Dexter May ROLLYSON was born on 6 Sep 1901 in WV 55 and died on 10 Apr 1988 in Citrus Heights, Sacramento Co., CA 55,188.)
