Asa Walton Dies; Rites Wednesday
WHITE SULPHUR, Oct. 6 (RNS) ? Asa Forrest Walton, 67, of White Sulphur Springs died at his home this morning.
Born in Greenbrier County, Dec. 12, 1890, he was a son of the late Thomas F. and Martha Perkins Walton.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillie Hunter Walton; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted in the Shanklin Funeral Horn Chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Houston Hall in charge. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
The body will remain at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Weikle, James Lucas, John Church, Jonas Sparks, Pat Feury and Osee Miller. Ladies of the Church of God on Tuckahoe Road will carry flowers.
Acie married Lillian L. "Lillie" HUNTER, daughter of Matthew Arthur HUNTER and Lucinda ZIMMERMAN, on 26 May 1912 in Greenbrier Co., WV.29 (Lillian L. "Lillie" HUNTER was born on 15 Feb 1884 in Greenbrier Co., WV,13,30 died on 19 Nov 1958 in White Sulphur Springs, Greenbrier Co., WV 30 and was buried on 21 Nov 1958 in Hillcrest Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, Greenbrier Co., WV 31.). The cause of her death was cardiac decompensation, cardiac asthma.
