SHADY SPRING - Nelson Clyde Patterson, 70, of Shady Spring died Aug. 5, 1998, in Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley.
He was a carpenter and a member of James Chapel United Methodist Church, Clintonville.
Surviving: wife, Barbara Cales Patterson; son, James Patterson of Talcott; daughters, Mildred Sue and Carolyn Ruth Paterson, both of Shady Spring; brothers, Sandy of Caldwell, Orville of Cleveland, N.C., Jesse of Severn, Md., Charles of Charlotte, N.C., Cary of Flemington, Ky., Willard of Ballard, Marion of Salisbury, N.C.; sisters, Marietta Bryant of Clintonville, Nora Frances Hughes of Phoenix, Violed Guyton of Saluta, S.C.; three grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at James Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eddie Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg.
