SUMMERSVILLE - Wilma Sweeney McClung, 89, of Summersville died June 20, 1999, in Summersville Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and was a retired Nicholas County schoolteacher with 44 years' service.
Surviving: son, John B. of Summersville; daughter, Marilyn Moses of Summersville; brother, John Sweeney of Little Rock, Ark.; sisters, Ann Briscoe of Hillsboro, Ohio, Bernice Greer of Parkersburg; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church, Summersville, with the Rev. Jerome Rawa officiating. Burial will be in McClung Cemetery, Canvas. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at White Funeral Home, Summersville, where there will be a rosary service at 8:30.
Wilma married Okla Burton McCLUNG, son of Ernest C. McCLUNG and Maggie Jane JOHNSON. (Okla Burton McCLUNG was born on 17 Aug 1914 in Nicholas Co., WV,55 died on 25 Mar 1995 in Summersville, Nicholas Co., WV 55 and was buried on 28 Mar 1995 in McClung Cemetery, Canvas, Nicholas Co., WV 74.)
