MOUNT LOOKOUT - Homer C. Hayslette, 78, of Mount Lookout died Jan. 19, 1996, at home after a long illness. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Mount Lookout, an Army veteran of World War II, a retired coal miner and carpenter. Surviving: wife, Jo Smith Hayslette; ons, John and George "Butch," both of Mount Lookout; daughter, Patricia Hall of Mount Lookout; sisters, Erna Deitz of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Virginia Gwinn of Whitesville; five grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at White Funeral Home, Summersville, with the Rev. Howard Gwinn officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery, Mount Lookout. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Homer married Josephine "Jo" SMITH, daughter of Clarence A. SMITH and Vida J. STEELE. (Josephine "Jo" SMITH was born in 1926 in Greenbrier Co., WV 88.)
