Mrs. Lois W. McCraw, 82, of Sinks Grove, died at her residence at 9:16 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, following an extended illness.

Born November 29, 1926, at Alderson, she was the daughter of the late James B. and Viola McClung Warren Knapp.

Mrs. McCraw was a member of the Broad Run Baptist Church at Wolf Creek. She was a 1944 graduate of Alderson High School. She was a homemaker and a highly devoted mother to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O’Dell McCraw, in 2003; two brothers, James B. Warren and Robert Warren; two half brothers, Gerald and Junior Warren; a son-in-law, John “Eddie” Osborne; and a grandson, Michael C. Osborne.

Survivors include a daughter, Libby Osborne of Union; five sons, Tom and fiancee, Gloria, of Lexington, Va., Steve and wife, Tammy, of Lewisburg, Doug and wife, Tracy, of Lynchburg, Pat McCraw of Sinks Grove, and Kevin and wife, Lisa, of Ronceverte; one sister, Mary Bowyer of Staunton, Va.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services have been set for 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, in Memorial Chapel of McCraw Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Ford and the Rev. Gary Baker officiating. Burial will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Kanawha HospiceCare, Inc., 223 Maplewood Ave., Lewisburg, WV 24901.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation and love to niece, Kellen Burdette, granddaughter, Debbie Hylton, Candance White, and a special thanks to Misty Porterfield, along with the HospiceCare givers.

McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of the arrangements.
