Files Suit Against Texas Motel Owner
An Ohio woman, Mrs. Vira Jane Stewart, has filed a damage suit for $150,000 in U. S. District Court here against the proyrietor of a Texas hotel in the death by asphyxiation of her husband.
Mrs. Stewart, through her attorney, Malcolm McGregor, claims her husband, Hoyt Hobart Stewart, rented a room on Nov. 26, 1956, from H. L. Patton of the Cabana Courts in Sierra Blanca, and died from carbon monoxide poinsoning.
She contends his death was due to the motel's failure to maintain the
room's heating apparatus properly.
Hoyt married Odie M. PARSONS on 8 Sep 1915 in Ripley, Jackson Co., WV.1044 (Odie M. PARSONS was born in Feb 1893 in Jackson Co., WV 1049.)
