Rites Incomplete For H. Whisman
RAINELLE (RNS) ? Herschel E. Whisman, 45, of Rainelle died Tuesday evening en route to a Clifton Forge, Va., hospital. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
He was a railroad brakeman and a member ot the Sturgeons Branch Baptist Church.
Born at Cressmont, Ky., Feb. 10, 1923, he was the son of V. L. and Mary Whisman of Rainelle.
Other survivors include his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Mrs. Ellen Forren of Ypsilanti, Mich,; four sons, Michael W. of Rainelle, Herschel E. Jr. and Gene S., both stationed with the Marines in Vietnam, and Joel,
at home; a sister, Mrs. Frances Robinson of Keiffer; two brothers, Harvey of Narrows, Va., and Gene of McRoss; and two grandchildren.
The body is at Don Smathers Funeral Home in East Rainelle.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Funeral Set Sunday For H. E. Whisman
RAINELLE (RNS) - Funeral services for Herschel Earman Whisman, 45, of Rainelle will be held at 2 p.m. at the Don Smathers Funeral Home Chapel in East Rainelle with Rev. Harry Zickafoose in charge. Burial will be in the Rainelle Cemetery.
Whisman died Tuesday en route to a Clifton Forge, Va., hospital of a heart attack.
The body will remain at the funeral home where friends may call Saturday afternoon.
Herschel married Margaret Jessie FLESHMAN, daughter of Henry FLESHMAN and Ethel Lena OSBORNE.
