Calvin Hayslett Has Fatal Attack
POOL (RNS) - Clavin Leslie Hayslett, 56, died Tuesday near his home of a heart attack.
He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Stull Lumber Co. at Mount Nebo.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elva Ann Hayslett; two daughters, Mrs. Melba Amick of Rainelle and Mrs. Marietta Halstead of Pool; seven sons, Marvel D. of Warren, Ohio, Marshall L. of Lorain, Ohio, Mardolph D. of Denver, Colo., Marlene of Arlington, Va., and Marvis, Mark, and Melvin, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Humphreys of Pool and Mrs. Mary Shaffer of Mount Lookout; three brothers, Wesley and Otis, both of Mount Lookout, and Walter of Waynesboro, Va.; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church at Mount Lookout with the Rev. Wesley Pennington and the Rev. T. W. Carte in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will remain at the White Funeral Home in Summersville and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral.
Calvin married Elva Ann HUMPHRIES, daughter of Martin Luther HUMPHRIES and Mary Elizabeth BENNETT, on 2 Sep 1925 in Nicholas Co., WV.7626 (Elva Ann HUMPHRIES was born in 1909 in Nicholas Co., WV,7626 died in 1978 7629 and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Lookout, Nicholas Co., WV 7629.)
