EAST RAINELLE - The funeral for Henry Sanford, 77, of East Rainelle, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Sewell Valley Baptist Church.
Mr. Sanford, a member of Sewell Valley Baptist Church and the VFW, died Monday at Oak Hill Hospital. He was a retired employee of the town of East Rainelle and a World War I veteran.
Survivors: wife, Anna Rose Hunter Sanford; daughters Mrs. Eleanor Skidmore of Lewisburg, Mrs. Dorthea Grennan of Chardon, Ohio, Mrs. Gayle Kashola of East Rainelle; son, Neville of East Rainelle; sisters, Mrs. Fonda Loudermilk of East Rainelle, Mrs. Maggie Osborne of Spencer; brothers, Walker of East Rainelle, Preston of Hyde Park, Pa.
The Rev. Henry O. Loving and the Rev. T. E. Orndorff will officiate at the funeral and burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, here, after noon today.
Henry married Anna Rose HUNTER, daughter of Robert A. "Bob" HUNTER and Eliza Catherine "Kate" SHAWVER, on 16 Jun 1926 in Lewisburg, Greenbrier Co., WV.40 (Anna Rose HUNTER was born on 10 Aug 1909 in Kieffer, Greenbrier Co., WV,46 died on 17 Jan 1973 in Rainelle, Greenbrier Co., WV 46 and was buried in Sewell Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, Rainelle, Greenbrier Co., WV.)
