Rose Juanita Ruth Meadows
Feb. 5, 1927 - Jan. 6, 2014
With great anticipation, Rose Juanita Ruth Meadows, 86, of Meadow Bridge, went to be with her heavenly Father early Monday morning, January 6, 2014 at the home of her daughter.
Born February 5, 1927 at Mabscot, she was the eldest and the last surviving child of the late John and Gertrude Snodderly Ruth.
In addition to her parents, Juanita is also preceded in death by three brothers: Dennis, James Vernon and Carl Ruth and one sister, Mary Gladys Lewis.
Juanita's happiness was rooted in her security and trust in her Lord and in the love of her life for 65 years, the late John Edward Meadows with whom she's been reunited. Throughout their life together, she showed contentment in unique circumstances that many did not understand. She was a true witness for her Savior and made a friend wherever she was. However, during the past 15 months of her life without John, her contentment changed to a longing. Now, she's finally where she longed to be ? She's home! The Psalmist David said, "in thy presence is fullness of joy; at they right hand there are pleasures for evermore."
She and John now await the arrival of their children: Dennis and wife Elaine of Springdale and Donna O'Dell and husband Gary of Clintonville; her grandchildren: Stephania Meadows and husband Chip of Springdale, Garrett O'Dell and wife Karen of Clintonville, Matthew O'Dell and wife Kimberly of Rupert and Kimberly Fleshman and husband Kerry of Springdale; her great-grandchildren: Kyle, Levi, Elaina, Marshall, Meredith and Kristyn and husband Chris of Jumping Branch and one great-great-grandchild , Christopher Asher.
Juanita's life will be remembered Friday, January 10, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sewell Valley Baptist Church where she was a member for over 40 years. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
Friends and family will gather on Thursday, January 9, from 6 ? 8 p.m. at the church.
Donations of remembrance can be made to Rainelle Christian Academy at P.O. Box 784, Rainelle, WV 25962.
