Greetings, friends and family. I updated the database last night with approximately 3,000 new individuals and lots of cleanup on sources. Hopefully there will be something new waiting for you...

As I noted a few months ago, for my fellow Crane researchers, I am now acting as custodian for the research of Michael Pavesi and Diane Crane Benelli which can be viewed at a sister site to this one: Crane Family Genealogy. I am still working out a few items for that site and will be adding photos there as I have time.

As always, please feel free to contact me with questions, comments, or corrections. I am always looking for additional information, documents, and photos for the families in my database.

Old Amwell & Walkup Cemeteries

A vital part of preserving our history is maintaining the final resting places of our ancestors. The Old Amwell Cemetery in Meadow Bluff and the Walkup Cemetery in Kieffer are two of the most important to me personally. If you have family buried in either or simply wish to help out, please consider making a contribution for the upkeep of these cemeteries. Funds can be sent to the Treasurer of the Old Amwell Cemetery Association (contact me for details).

My Other Families

While the majority of my database covers my paternal grandfather's families of western Greenbrier Co., WV, I have done extensive research on most of my other families as well. Here are some of the highlights:

My paternal grandmother's families include Callaway, Daniel, Ellison, Farley, Phipps, Mankin, Milam, and Sizemore families of Monroe, Raleigh, Summers, and Wyoming Co., WV and surrounding areas. Also, the Graley, Haley, Showalter, and Worrell families of Carroll, Lee, and Pulaski Co., VA and surrounding areas.

My maternal grandfather's families include Blagg, Forinash, Hardman, Hook, Morrison, and Squires families of Highland Co., VA and Braxton, Harrison, and Lewis Co., WV and surrounding areas.

My maternal grandmother's families include Britt, Cadle, Cook, Davis, Fleshman, Rollyson, and Williams families of Fayette, Mercer, Monroe, and Summers Co., WV and surrounding areas.
