Mildred Frances Burns, 81, of Lewisburg died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2000, in White Sulphur Springs Family Care Center after a long illness. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Lewisburg, former president of United Methodist Women, a graduate of Lewisburg High School and the Charleston School of Commerce. She was a former bookkeeper/secretary or Fairlea Farm Equipment, WRON radio station and Cheuvront's Supply and was a retired radio operator from the state Department of Highways. Surviving: brothers, L.L. Burns of Charleston, Fred H. Burns of Gainesville, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Gourley officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions to Calvary Cemetery Association, RR 2 Box 321, Lewisburg, 24901 or Calvary United Methodist Church, 220 S. Jefferson St., Lewisburg, WV 24901. Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Lewisburg, is in charge of arrangements.
