RUPERT - Mrs. Effie May Tincher, 85, of Rupert, Greenbrier County, died Wednesday in Greenbrier Valley Hospital, Fairlea, after a long illness.
She was a member of Big Clear Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving: daughters, Mrs. Neva Small and Mrs. Virginia Canfield, both of Rupert; son, Kyle of Cambridge, Maine; sisters, Mrs. Delia Johnson of Hinton, Mrs. Lorena Hays of South Charleston; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Smathers Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Boyd Sparks officiating. Burial will be in End of the Trail Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Effie married Harvey Edgar TINCHER, son of John Cooper TINCHER and Margaret Adeline SMITH. (Harvey Edgar TINCHER was born on 10 Dec 1886 in Spring Dale, Fayette Co., WV,24,32 died on 4 Jan 1956 in Victor, Fayette Co., WV 566 and was buried on 7 Jan 1956 in End Of The Trail Cemetery, Clintonville, Greenbrier Co., WV 566.). The cause of his death was broncho pneumonia.
