John E. Gillespie Succumbs At 82
ORCHARD (RNS) ? John E. Gillespie, 82, died in a Bluefield hospital Tuesday morning after a long illness.
He was a retired custodian and a member of the Baptist Church at Orchard.
Born at Craig April 13, 1887, he was a son of the late William and Fannie Osborne Gillespie.
Survivors include his wife Maggie Dwyer Gillespie; two sons, John R. of Rich Creek, Va., and Oatie of Pearisburg, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Clayton Williams of Ballard and Mrs. Carl Plummer and Miss Goldie Gillespie, both of Orchard; three brothers, Tony of Chripon, Renick of Ansted and Homer of Bellwood; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
