Greenbrier Man Succumbs At 91
KIEFFER (RNS) - Emory Clyde Hayslett, 91, of Kieffer died Wednesday in a Fairlea nursing home after a long illness.
Born Feb. 4, 1880, at Clintonville, he was a son of the late John F. and Adelade Jane Harford Hayslett.
He was a retired farmer and was a lifelong resident of Kieffer.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Violet O'Neil of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Elva Young of Lynchburg, Va., Mrs. June Crookshanks of Crawley and Mrs. Ethel Piercy of Clintonville; a son, Fred of Lynchburg, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Iva Jeffries of Piper City, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The body is at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.

Funeral Set Sunday For Emory Hayslett
KIEFFER (RNS) - Funeral services for Emory Clyde Hayslett, 91, of Kieffer will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Beaver Creek Baptist Church at Kieffer with Rev. Leroy Crane in charge. Burial will be in Sunrise Methodist Church Cemetery at Clintonville.
He died Monday in a Fairlea nursing home after a long illness.
Friends may call at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Rainelle after 4 p.m. Saturday.
