JAMES ERVIN WHITLOW, 80, OF RAINELLE died Aug. 30, 1995, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a member of McRoss Baptist Church, a retired mechanic for Beitz Trucking and an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving: wife, Blanche Yoakum Whitlow; sons, Cletus Everette of Rainelle, Ervin Gary of Roanoke, Va.; brother, John William of Lewisburg; five grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Garlin Groves officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
